Hacienda La Minita is a 700 acre coffee farm located in the steep terrain of Costa Rica's Tarrazu Valley. The coffees from this estate are considered by many to be the finest produced in the world. They are cultivated in ideal conditions that include expert plant cultivation and continual agronomic improvements. The estate also features model working conditions that include an on-site health clinic and comfortable worker housing.
Batdorf & Bronson has had a long and fruitful relationship with Hacienda La Minita and B&B employees visit annually to see farm improvements and taste new crop coffees. In 2006, we asked Bill McAlpin to experiment with sun-drying Batdorf & Bronsons' purchase of La Minita beans. The success of this experiment has led to a world exclusive to Batdorf & Bronson of these 100% sun-dried coffee beans.
This coffee features a brilliant acidity and luscious body that combine for perfect balance and illuminate flavors of maple syrup and freshly squeezed orange juice. This coffee is sweet and rewarding, with a crystal clean finish.
